This article will show you how to add your CNAME record in 1and1.com in order to connect it with ClickFunnels. 

This article assumes that you have already added your domain or subdomain in your ClickFunnels Account Settings. 

After adding your domain or subdomain to ClickFunnels, you will need to add a CNAME record to your 1and1.com domain settings. 

Log in to your 1and1.com account and click on Domains under My Products

Click the Gear icon next to the domain that you are setting up and select Manage Subdomains in the drop down menu.

Then click the Add Subdomain hyperlink on the right to add a subdomain

Adding a Subdomain

When the Create Subdomain pop up opens, type the subdomain name in the field and then click SAVE. 

Next, you will add a CNAME record for your subdomain that points to target.clickfunnels.com 

Click the Gear icon next to the subdomain you just added and select DNS Settings in the drop down menu. 

Scroll down to the A/AAA and CNAME Records section for your subdomain. 

  1. Select the CNAME radio button.
  2. Type target.clickfunnels.com in the Alias field.
  3. Check the box approving the change.
  4. Click SAVE.

This will allow you to use the subdomain inside your ClickFunnels account.

Adding a Custom Domain

If you are adding a domain that will be used as your primary domain, add a CNAME record for the subdomain www pointing at target.clickfunnels.com as shown in the screenshot above.

You will then want to set up a redirect for your domain so that both yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com can be used with ClickFunnels. 

From the Control Panel Home page, select Domains in the left navigation.
 

Click the Gear icon next to the domain that you are setting up and select Adjust Destination in the drop down menu. 

Select Forward Domain.

Set the domain to forward to the www of your domain using https and then click SAVE.

Return to your ClickFunnels account to verify your domain setup and Add your SSL.

Please note. DNS servers can sometimes take up to 48 hours to update.SSL Certificates can take up to 48 hours to update.
