In this article you will learn how to set up a split test to optimize the pages in your funnel.
This allows you to make small or large changes to your page and see which converts better.
You can have two total page variations at a time.
Once you promote the winner to be the main page or control, the losing split test variation will be deleted and you can create a new variation for further split testing.
Create Your Split Test Variation
First, go to the funnel step you want to split test.
You will see a box that reads "Start Split Test".
Click the Create Variation button and you will be given the option to duplicate the control page or create a new page from a template.
Edit Your Split Test
Now that you have created the page, it is time to edit the content on the page that you want to test.
Click the Edit Page button under the split test variation you wish to edit and it will open the editor like a normal page.
Start Your Split Test
Once you are ready to start your split test, click the Start Split Test button.
You will then need to adjust the slider to determine how you would like your split test to be weighted.
Once you have determined the weight for your split test, click Apply Changes and your split test will be live.
Publish Your Funnel Step URL
Once you have set up your split test, you will need to publish your split test URL.
This is your Funnel Step URL and can be found directly underneath the Funnel Step Stats.
Declare The Winner
Once you have enough data to prove which test is winning by conversion rate, you will want to promote that page to be the main page. Next to the title of the split test page click Declare a Winner and that will make it the control page for your funnel step.
Pausing a Split Test Variation
If you would just like to pause a split-test variation, move the split test weight slider all the way to the right or to the left depending on which variation you wish to pause and click Apply Changes.
