Please make sure that you read all of the information below prior to setting up your affiliate areas and commission plans.
Backpack is the official affiliate management system of ClickFunnels.
When a user has access to Backpack, he/she will be able to create affiliate pages and manage affiliates/commissions.
Affiliate pages cannot be created without access to Backpack.
In order for the tracking to take effect the affiliate link must go to a page that includes a form (either a opt in or order form). Links to a page with no form will not track the affiliate threw to later steps in a funnel.
The documentation for Backpack is broken up into three categories:
The videos and articles currently show the previous User Interface of ClickFunnels and will be updated soon.
Backpack utilizes sticky cookies. This means that if a customer purchases a product from you using an affiliate link, and then purchases a different product later on, the same affiliate (who referred the customer originally) will earn a commission for the second purchase if that product is commissionable and the funnel is assigned to a commission plan.
Make Sure Your Funnel Path Is Set Up Correctly
By default, the #affiliate-link# merge tag will take the URL from your Funnel Settings and append the Affiliate ID at the end.
If you do not have a Funnel Path set, the affiliate ID parameter will be overridden, and your affiliates won't receive credit for their referrals.
Please make sure that you have a funnel path set in your funnel settings.
